(Not) Breaking
Next week during spring break, hundreds of UGA students will NOT be at a vacation destination.
Instead, they will be out serving local communities, engaging with leaders, residents, and peers through a number of Student Affairs-sponsored experiential learning programs. From IMPACT service trips to communities across the eastern U.S. to the new Student Tour of Georgia, many UGA students will use the break from classes to engage in the world, learning about history, culture, industry, and important issues facing us all.
It is exactly these types of hands-on, immersive learning opportunities—and the great eagerness of our students to engage in them—that make the UGA student experience so special. So as we are all enjoying the break, know that, for many, the learning continues—just as it should.
