Future Ready
As part of the President’s Task Force on Student Learning and Success over the past year, we had numerous conversations about our work with UGA students. One of the major themes we considered was how we best prepare students for the changing world ahead.
Talents including critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, communication, data literacy, resilience, and empathy will be vital for our students’ future success. In addition to the recommendations of the task force, I challenge us all to consider how we are intentionally helping students to prepare for tomorrow, for future leadership and stewardship of the world’s communities.
In many ways this challenge is embedded in our core mission in Student Affairs – to inspire students to engage meaningfully, grow intellectually, and build character. May we rise to that challenge each day #forthestudents.
