2020—Here We Come!

As a Student Affairs division, we have spent the last year engaged in a comprehensive 2020 Strategic Planning Process. This effort has involved stakeholders across UGA, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and donors—many of you.

A detailed planning process like this is critical to complete our work for and with students. It helps to shape our strategic direction, foster a stronger student affairs community, and ultimately enhance the learning environment for students at UGA. The conversations we have had this year have challenged us in important ways. As we move forward with our new strategic plan, I encourage us to continue to be bold, avoid complacency, and keep the best interests of students at the center of all that we do. We have failed if we do otherwise.

For us to realize our plans for the next five years and beyond, we each have a contribution to make. We must all find ways to focus our daily efforts even more fully on helping students succeed. We will be sharing much more about the plan and your role in the coming weeks. Thank you for your engagement in this vital work, and onward to 2020!
